Russia keeps leadership in Europe in the number of Internet users
Russia keeps leading on the number of unique Internet users among the European countries, according to the ComScore (global leader in measuring the digital world) report of November 2011.
Russian Internet audience in November 2011 amounted to 52,486 million users over the age of 15 years. On the average each user in November spent 24,5 hours online and looked through about 2,73 thousands of web pages.
Russia has become the European leader on the number of Internet users, overhauled the former leader - Germany. Currently, the Internet audience in Germany is 50,856 million unique users. The gap between the number of Internet users in two countries has increased by 0,93 million people.
Also ComScore has published the list of 15 most fast-growing Internet projects in Europe. The project "Kingfisher" with audience growth on 21 % became the leader among them . The Russian "Rambler" has appeared on the penultimate place. It has increased its audience on 5% in November from 22,565 million to 23,596 million users in comparison with October.
Global Internet audience in November amounted to 1,438 billion unique users, while Europe accounts for 379,4 million users. On average, in November Europeans spend about 27,8 hours in Internet and looked through 2,982 thousands of web pages each.
