Begin Eurasia Tour

Begin Eurasia Tour is a series of in-person student recruitment events connecting international educational institutions with prospective students across Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Moldova. The tour allows universities and other education providers to meet motivated students and their families through education fairs and high school visits in Baku, Tbilisi, Istanbul, and Chisinau.

Organised by Begin Group, an international organiser of student recruitment events, the tour brings together both established and emerging recruitment markets. Begin Group has been hosting education fairs in Azerbaijan and Georgia for over ten years and has since expanded its activities to Türkiye and Moldova.

In spring 2026, Begin Group organised its first education fair in Chisinau. The event attracted a substantial audience and generated highly engaged conversations, with exhibitors highlighting the preparation, detailed questions, and strong interest demonstrated by Moldovan students.

What events are included in the tour?

Begin Eurasia Tour combines complementary recruitment formats across four major cities in the region.

Depending on the destination, institutions can participate in:

These formats allow institutions to present their programmes directly to prospective students and their families while also developing connections with local schools and education professionals.

Why recruit students in Eurasia?

Eurasia brings together four distinct but complementary student markets. Türkiye offers access to one of the region’s largest youth and school populations, while Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Moldova provide geographically concentrated recruitment opportunities in internationally oriented capital cities.

Across these markets, demand for overseas education is supported by established student mobility, European-aligned education systems, government initiatives, and growing interest in international qualifications and career opportunities.

Several factors are driving this demand:

  • Large and diverse youth population. Türkiye has approximately 12.7 million young people aged 15–24 and almost 18 million students enrolled in formal school education. Azerbaijan has more than 2.3 million young people aged 14–29, while Georgia and Moldova also have clearly defined youth and school populations progressing towards higher education.
  • Concentrated recruitment markets. A significant share of students, schools, universities, counsellors, and internationally oriented families is concentrated in Istanbul, Baku, Tbilisi, and Chisinau. This allows institutions to reach substantial national audiences through focused recruitment activities in each capital.
  • Established outbound student mobility. More than 51,000 Turkish students and approximately 10,000 Georgian students pursue tertiary education abroad. Students from Azerbaijan and Moldova also actively explore international programmes, specialised degrees, and qualifications that may not be widely available in their domestic markets.
  • Demand for specialised programmes and career outcomes. Students across the region are interested in programmes that offer distinctive academic specialisations, recognised qualifications, international networks, foreign-language development, and access to global career opportunities.

What study levels are most in demand?

Based on visitor data from established Begin Edu Fairs in Baku, Tbilisi, and Istanbul:

  • Master’s programmes account for approximately 29–41% of visitor interest, depending on the city
  • Bachelor’s programmes account for approximately 37%
  • Secondary, foundation, and other study options also attract interest, particularly among younger students and their families

These trends demonstrate demand for international education across different stages of the student journey, from school-level and undergraduate study to postgraduate and professional programmes.

Why participate in the Begin Eurasia Tour?

Participating institutions gain access to four diverse recruitment markets through one coordinated regional trip.

Key advantages include:

  • Over ten years of recruitment experience in Azerbaijan and Georgia
  • Access to established markets and emerging destinations
  • Strong relationships with local schools and education professionals
  • Targeted marketing campaigns designed to attract students interested in each participating institution and its programmes
  • Opportunities to meet students and parents face-to-face
  • Direct engagement with prospective students during high school visits
  • Structured lead collection and post-event data sharing

The Begin Eurasia Tour allows institutions to combine large-scale recruitment opportunities with focused access to compact, internationally oriented markets across Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Moldova.
